Here's why it will be an unforgettable week:
• a “best of TED” speaker line-up supplemented by a wonderful roster of UK and international speakers - most sessions will be held at the Oxford Playhouse, the city's wonderful, atmospheric theatre
• most people will stay in ensuite accommodation at Keble College, enjoying its stunning architecture and “Hogwarts”-style dining hall
• we also have sessions at the Oxford Union Debating Hall, the famous Sheldonian Theatre, and the Natural History Museum and a spectacular dinner at a historic country house.
• Oxford is a uniquely inspiring environment. For 800 years it has championed the power of reason, and the search for great ideas.
• The city is especially beautiful in July. There will be time to explore the ancient colleges, chapels and libraries, or to go "punting" down the river Cherwell with champagne, strawberries and cream.
• next summer the UK will be the centre of world attention. The G8 summit is being held there the prior week. |
